'London' is the 3rd song in the 'This Is A Working Vinyl' EP by Migrant Motel. He came up with the concept while watching "Underworld" with his roommate, James Hough, while coping with a recent breakup. James saying "Kate Beckinsale is so hot. She's from London you know." was all it took for David to write the concept "I want to go to London and fuck everything". We're glad that didn't make the final cut too.
lyrics
Shut up and drive I'm leaving today, I know where I'm going
There's only one place where I wanna stay, London has been calling
I'll get away from here, I'll get away from her
I'll get away from here, from her, from here, from her
Ooh Ooh, In the dark my nightmares are about
Ooh Ooh, the way she broke my heart and threw it out
Ooh Ooh, After all this time I've figured out
I wanna go to London
and fall in love a thousand times
I wanna go to London
and fall in love a thousand times
Got on the plane, I'm drinking away, thinking what did I do wrong
I'll be on a bench and look up at Ben
asking where the time has gone
What did you do with her, where did she go?
The girl I knew I loved, I didn't want to let her go
Ooh Ooh, In the dark my nightmares are about
Ooh Ooh, the way she broke my heart and threw it out
Ooh Ooh, After all this time I've figured out
I wanna go to London
and fall in love a thousand times
I wanna go to London
She deserved the world, and I deserved her just
Just the way I left her, in the bedroom, big bright eyes and so alive
The kids we were so far away, I'm still in love with yesterday
Ooh Ooh, In the dark my nightmares are about
Ooh Ooh, the way she broke my heart and threw it out
Ooh Ooh, After all this time I've figured out
I wanna go to London
and fall in love a thousand times
I wanna go to London
and fall in love a thousand times
I wanna go to London
I wanna go to London
I wanna go to London
and fall in love a thousand times
