'Untouchable' is the first song on the 'This Is A Working Vinyl' EP by Migrant Motel. Originally written for an assignment named Professor Simos's "Ugly Chord" project, David wrote this as an anthem for the college student: Someone who is old enough to not be dependent on parents anymore but young enough to not owe the world a thing. Complete freedom. Four years of being untouchable.
lyrics
The kings and queens of box wine sit and dine
A kingdom made of candy castle walls ten stories high
They say one day we'll grow up to be old, or so we're told
We, thought of what it's gonna be
When these adults set us free
So many rules with no decree
Now you wear a gown of PBR, crown of cigars for me
We are untouchable with nothing to lose
We are unstoppable with something to prove
Later we'll be left to pay our dues
But right now were are untouchable…
We're fighting for a feud that doesn't sleep
Fending off grey hairs with lesser cares of what to eat
Try'n to put our futures in reverse to stop the curse we're bound to meet
We are untouchable with nothing to lose
We are unstoppable with something to prove
Later we'll be left to pay our dues
But right now were are untouchable…
We, all have more than one tattoo
You got ones you never knew
Ones that life drew onto you
The scars under your skin are memories you will forget slowly
We are untouchable with something to lose
We are unstoppable with something to prove
Someday we'll grow old and pay our dues
But right now were are untouchable…
